Unexpected Mentors: A friendly kick in the pants
Webinar presented by RDC Career Services and RDC Alumni
Hosted by Sheila Musgrove
Join us for this engaging presentation from RDC alum, Sheila Musgrove, where she takes the idea of a traditional mentor/mentee relationship, turns it upside down and gives it a shake. RDC alumni and current students will be inspired to consider unusual and creative ways to find career inspiration outside of seeking a traditional mentor. “Chances are you have overlooked, undervalued or never thought of these unexpected mentors as career boosters,” says Sheila. “You’ll leave this webinar with a pile of ideas on how you can be bold in the asks in your career.” She’ll poke fun at the “pick-your-brain coffee meeting,” and make your head spin with ideas on how to get a mini-mentor session. She’ll talk about making big mistakes and needing a kick in the pants, and about how career disappointments can get you pointed in the right direction. And, yes, she’ll tell you why there’s a big yellow duck on the cover of Unexpected Mentors – a career nugget you won’t forget!
